The hand lever for adjusting the rotation of a structure from one position to another, especially a flap, has a moving arm (2) and an inserter-remove detente mechanism to locate the hand lever in position, where the detente mechanism (4-10) must be raised from the lock position in order to move the lever. A baseplate (6) has a number of slots (9) arranged radially around the centre of rotation (14) of the lever in which a protrusion (8) of the detente mechanism locates in the lock position.
