The cylinder (1) has a print foil (5) stretched across its surface with the ends of the foil attached to winding rollers (4) rotatably mounted inside the cylinder. The winding rollers are rotated by a drive device (3). The drive device is mounted outside the cylinder and can be coupled to the winding rollers via a coupling which can be separated (12). Each of the winding rollers can be rotated by its own drive device mounted outside the cylinder, or a single drive device can be used to drive the rollers in common. The drive device, which can be an electric, hydraulic or pneumatic motor, is attached to a side wall (2) of the housing of the rotation print machine.
