The spanner (1) comprises a metal cylinder with four slots (4) of different lengths in the sides of the upper end which correspond to the sizes of the fixing bolts or nuts. The lower end of the spanner has an angular-shaped opening (5) with rounded corners to hold another type of fixing. A hole through both walls and midway along the length of the spanner accepts a round steel bar (9) or a screwdriver blade. The fixing nut is held in the appropriate slot or open end while the spanner is turned by hand using the inserted rod.
