Component coupling element for automobile lamp

The coupling element has locking fixings (2,10) at either end, for respectively cooperating with the 2 components, the locking fixings engaged by insertion in opposing directions and joined together via an intermediate spring element (8), allowing their relative movement parallel to the insertion directions. The spring element exerts opposing tension forces on the inserted locking fixings, with a stop (9,14,15) holding the spring element in a given position corresponding to a defined spring bias. The coupling element may be formed as a one-piece injection moulded plastics component.
