The drive unit for a shaft (8) with gear wheels (15, 17, 21) is claimed. The shaft is coupled to the stud (19) which is joined to the planet gear (17) of a differential (16), whose central gear (15) is driven by an external drive. The drive passes from the planet gears to a fixed gear wheel with inner teeth (21). The other gears (15, 17) run in the fixed gear (21), secured from rotation, but moveable about at least two perpendicular axes (24, 25), relative to the fixed mounting (23), which is itself mounted on at least one shaft (8) which drives shafts parallel to the driven shaft (8), and constructed to accept a turning moment. A conch using the drive unit is also claimed.
