NETTING SIDE BRACKET AND PROCESS FOR ASSEMBLING

A side bracket (10) for netting (12) has net loops (22), and an elastic cord (20) threaded through at least one of the top and bottom net loops (22). A base (24) is located adjacent at least one of the netting sides. A net loop receiving member (28) is disposed between the two ends. A housing (46) is provided for the elastic cord. A mechanism attaches the cord housing (46) to the base (24), and a mechanism attaches the netting (12) to a desired surface. A process for assembling the netting (12) to the bracket (10) comprises the step of placing a row of side net loops (22) over a corresponding number of net loop receiving members (28). Each of the net loop receiving members (28) has an outwardly projecting net loop retaining wall (30). A mechanism guides opposed ends of the net loop into an adjacent loop recess (38). An elastic cord (20) is threaded through the net loops, and the cord is attached to a cord housing (46).
