<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate installation of a joint flange by engaging a plurality of wedge claws formed on an opening end of a duct with a beak-like installation base formed on the flange, in a device where the joint flange is provided on the opening end of the duct used for air conditioning or discharging smoke. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of wedge claws 11 are formed in the vicinity of an opening end of a duct D, projectingly from a barrel surface 12 inwardly. A joint flange F installed on the opening end of the duct D is composed of a bag-like connecting mast 14, and a beak-like installation base 15 formed continuously from its inner end, projectingly along a longitudinal direction of the duct by specified length L. The installation base 15 has a structure wherein inner base lips 15a, 15b respectively having cushion spaces S1, S2 are laminated. When the lips 15a, 15b are inserted into the opening end of the duct D, a receiving hook 20 bent from the base lip 15a is engaged with the wedge claws 11 of the duct D for unseparably engaging the flange F.</p> |
