<p>The invention concerns finely adjustable ignition compositions for ignition agents and ignition elements which not only offer sufficient performance but also have ignition sensitivity and insensitivity values that may be finely adjusted depending on the desired application without significantly affecting the ignition delay. The ignition elements are a combination of two ignition compositions with different properties. The first ignition composition (heating wire igniter) contains an ignition explosive, a heat-dissipating additive, an oxidising agent and a binder. The second ignition composition (power igniter) contains a component that generates hot reaction particles, an oxidising agent and a binder.</p> |
