The invention concerns a monitoring device for computers with connected peripherals such as monitors, printers or the like, each of the peripherals being connected to the computer via at least one earth lead. Each earth lead comprises a sensor device, which is looped-in between the peripheral and the computer for monitoring a continuous earth connection, and an alarm device which can be activated by the sensor device when a deviation is recorded, in order to signal that an earth connection is interrupted. The invention overall provides simple and operationally reliable monitoring of one or a plurality of computers with connected peripherals.
