摘要 In prepn. of instant black tea, soln. in cold water: (a) the black tea leaves are extracted with water at 60-130 degrees C; (b) the tea leaves are sepd.; (c) this first extract is conc. to 5-12% solids, and cooled to 5-15 degrees C, to form an insol. cream, which is sepd. from the first conc. extract; (d) the cream is mixed with the spent black tea leaves or with green tea leaves; (e) the mixt. is extracted with water at above 70 degrees C, to give a second extract, which is sepd. from the spent tea leaves; (f) the first and second extracts are mixed; and (g) the mixt. is conc. to the required solids content and dried.
