This invention relates to novel benzothiepines, derivatives and analogs thereof, pharmaceutical compositions containing them and their use in medicine, particularly in the prophylaxis and treatment of hyperlipidemic conditions, such as is associated with atherosclerosis, or hypercholesterolemia, in mammals.
