Method for the production of vanillic acid and vanillin by the bioconversion from ferulic acid. Feruclic acid is converted into vanillic acid by at least one filamentous fungus selected from the group consisting of the Ascomycetes and Basidiomycetes, or by at least one Ascomycetes strain; and vanillic acid is converted into vanillin by at least one filamentous fungus of the class Basidiomycetes.
