摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To prevent the potential drop of auxiliary capacity electrodes of a large liquid crystal display by providing voltage drop preventing means such as low resistance wirings to the auxiliary capacity transparent electrodes in a picture element region. CONSTITUTION:Auxiliary capacitors 6 are formed of respective picture element electrodes and auxiliary capacity transparent electrodes. The auxiliary capacity transparent electrodes are connected via auxiliary capacity conductors 8 to auxiliary capacity external conductors 9 for connection to external terminals. The signal voltage entering a signal line 4 enters a source 14 via a thin-film transistor 2 and is impressed to the picture element transparent electrode 12, by which a liquid crystal cell is constituted between said electrode and a counter electrode and the auxiliary capacity of several fold the auxiliary capacity of the liquid crystal cell is formed between the auxiliary capacity transparent electrodes 8. Electric charge is supplied at a high speed from the auxiliary capacity conductors 8 of the low resistance to the auxiliary capacitors at this time 6. The sufficient writing in the prescribed period of scanning is thereby enabled.</p>
