Method for preserving liq. or mushy animal feeds contg. potatoes, food scraps, pressed spent hops, beer yeast, distilled slops or other similar components by intensive mixing with separate amts. of aq. potassium sorbate soln. and an aq. soln. of a physiologically compatible salt. The animal feed are also claimed. The K sorbate soln. has a concn. of 30-50%. The physiologically compatible salt is chosen from phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid, fumaric acid, lactic acid, propionic acid or tartaric acid.
