摘要 A cathode-ray tube has, as an antireflection film, an optical interfering film (15) having at least two layers. The optical interfering film (15) has an average angle DELTA a of inclination of 0.1 DEG to 0.5 DEG and an average peak gap Sm of 10 mu m to 50 mu m. This optical interfering film is formed by maintaining the temperature of the faceplate (1) at 20 to 50 DEG C, setting the flow rates of the optical interfering film forming solution and air from an air spray nozzle to 10 to 30 cc/min and 80 to 140 l/min, respectively, and setting the scanning speed of the air spray nozzle to 250 to 750 mm/sec, and by using optical interfering film forming solutions each containing 1 to 5 wt% of a solid substance and 10 to 30% of an organic solvent having a boiling point of 120 DEG C or more.
