PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING TOOTH PROSTHESES

A process is disclosed for manufacturing tooth prostheses, such as crowns, bridges, inlays or onlays from a block of material. The negative impression produced from a model of the tooth prosthesis is used as a form tool for ultrasonic machining of the unworked block of ceramic material, or a positive impression galvanically shaped from the negative impression is used for ultrasonic machining of a graphite electrode for electric discharge production of the metallic tooth prosthesis. Alternatively, the negative impression produced from a model of the tooth prosthesis may be used as a form tool for ultrasonic machining of the unworked block of ceramic material, the form tools being produced by casting.
