PURPOSE: To produce a thermal recording material excellent in transparency, reduced in background fog and having high recording sensitivity. CONSTITUTION: In a thermal recording material obtained by applying a dye layer coating soln. containing a leuco dye and an adhesive dissolved in an org. solvent and a coupler layer coating soln. containing an adhesive dissolved in an org. solvent on a support and drying the coated support to provide a dye layer and a coupler layer, a sensitizer layer coating soln. containing a sensitizer with an m.p. of 40-l2O deg.C, an adhesive and water or an org. solvent is applied to the interface of the dye layer and the coupler layer to be dried to provide a sensitizer layer. |
