<p>PURPOSE: To prevent blood for blood transfusion to a patient at a hospital from being erroneously selected by performing collation corresponding to the identification data (such as a fingerprint, palm form, finger form, retina pattern, voiceprint and DNA type) of the patient. CONSTITUTION: At the time of collecting blood, the data (such as an address, name and the date and time of blood collection) of the patient are registered on a host computer 5 inside a managing room 2 and the identification data (such as the fingerprint, palm form and finger form) are read by a reader 11 and registered on blood collecting room terminal equipment 6 inside a blood collecting room 3. Then, a label for a blood collecting bag/clinical record sheet corresponding to the data of the patient is issued or printed by a printer 12 and the issued label is stuck on the blood collecting bag/clinical record sheet. At the time of a blood transfusion, the identification data of the patient are read by a reader 21 inside asurgical operating room 4 and registered on operating room terminal equipment 7, and the data on the blood collecting bag/clinical record sheet are read by a reader 22 and collated. Thus, the blood for blood transfusion to the patient can be surely prevented from being erroneously selected.</p> |
