PURPOSE: To provide a color pencil lead excellent in fluorescent color development, tinting power (density) and flexural strength more particularly a 2mmϕcp or thinner color pencil lead desirable for a sharp pencil. CONSTITUTION: This lead is a nonfired color pencil lead prepared by kneading at least an organic binder, an extender, a colorant and optionally a lubricant and a plasticizer and molding the obtained mixture, wherein the colorant comprises a fluorescent pigment and 0.2-1.0wt.%, based on the fluorescent pigment, nonfluorescent organic pigment of the same hue.
