INSERT BLOW MOLDING APPARATUS AND METHOD

PURPOSE: To feed an insert member and a preform to a blow molding part while holding both of them to predetermined positional relation without providing a complicated engaging structure to the preform. CONSTITUTION: A preform 50 is fed to a blow molding part by a neck mold 90 holding the neck part of the preform 50. The engaging mechanism 100 engaging with an insert member 20 to hold the same is provided to the neck mold 90 and has the extending wall part 94 opposed to the outer wall just under the neck part of the preform 50 and the gap 96 in which the part 30 to be engaged of the insert member 20 must be inserted is formed to the inside of the extending wall part 94. A hole 106 is formed to the extending wall part 94 so as to be opened to the gap 96 and a ball 108 is arranged in the vicinity of the opening of the hole 106.
