PURPOSE: To provide a bottom irrigator capable of automatically keeping an appropriate water level by merely continuing a water feed to a pot pan and free from any concern for root rot owing to automatically draining on stopping a water feed. CONSTITUTION: A synthetic resin pot pan 1 sarrounded with a raised wall 1a is placed on a support table 2 and a water feed means 6 is provided for the pot pan 1. In this bottom irrigator the bottom of the pot pan 1 is afforded with many dispersed projections 1b and a draining siphon tube 4 is set up penetratedly through the pot pan 1 in such a way that the water feed port at one end of the tube 4 come close to the bottom of the pot pan, and a level control pipe 5 is also set up penetratedly through the pot pan in such a way that its upper end opening come to a position of a desired height between the upper end of the siphon tube and the upper end of the raised wall. In feeding water, level is kept constant by the level control pipe 5, and water is discharged through the siphon tube 4 when a water feed is halted. |
