PURPOSE: To provide a method capable of precisely evaluating the life of a ball by the deterioration development of a defect related to the rotation, within a short time. CONSTITUTION: The rotation axis X-X of a ball 10 is set to the relation in which a part to be observed is arranged within a ring-shape traveling track wound on the surface of the ball 10 by the contact with an inner ring or outer ring, a hole 34 directed to the center of the ball is provided on the surface of the ball on the rotation axis, the ball is integrated between the inner ring and outer ring to rotate a ball bearing, and the part to be observed is brought into contact with the inner ring or outer ring at every rotation of the ball. Since the part to be observed makes contact with the inner ring or outer ring every rotation of the ball in this way, the ball can be quickly developed in deterioration with this point as a starting point, and the life of the ball can be easily and precisely evaluated within a short time. |
