PURPOSE: To obtain peroxidases I and II having a substrate affinity for an aromatic amine such as an aniline-based compound and provide a method for mass-producing the peroxidases at a low cost. CONSTITUTION: This peroxidase I is obtained from a new strain belonging to the genus Trametes and has the following characteristics: (1) molecular weight: about 48,000; (2) range of the optimum action temperature: about 55 deg.C optimum temperature; (3) thermostability: stable to about 45 deg.C, when kept at pH5.7 for 30min; (4) optimum pH: about 5.7; (5) stable pH range: pH4.3-6.3 when treated at 30 deg.C for 16hr; (6) isoelectric point: about 4.5 and (7) a monomer having a protoheme. Furthermore, this peroxidase II has the following characteristics: (1) range of the optimum action temperature: about 50 deg.C optimum temperature: (2) thermostability: stable to about 45 deg.C when kept at pH5.7 for 30min; (3) optimum pH: about 5.7 and (4) stable pH range: pH5.3-6.3 when treated at 30 deg.C for 16hr. |
