PURPOSE: To provide a float for the course rope of a pool increasing the damping effect of wave motion, allowing a swimming race under the stable conditions, and capable of being easily stored in a storage drum. CONSTITUTION: This float 1 for a course rope is provided with multiple blade plates 4 formed radially to an outer tube 2 side from an inner tube 3 formed with the insertion hole 3a of the course rope. Each blade plate 4 is extended in the axial direction from one end section 2a of the outer tube 2 by the length L3 nearly equal to the width L2 of the outer tube 2 to form a wave reception section 7, and the length L6 in the outer radial direction between the tip sides 7a of the opposite wave reception sections 7 is made smaller than the inner diameterϕ2 of the other end section 2b of the outer tube 2.
