PURPOSE: To obtain an optical recording medium excellent in recording sensitivity and erasing characteristics and having high erasing speed by successively laminating a dielectric layer, a recording layer composed of a thermoplastic resin containing an org. dye and a reflecting layer on a substrate and adding two kinds of compatible specific resins to the thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION: A dielectric layer, a recording layer composed of a thermoplastic resin containing an org. dye and a reflecting layer are successively laminated on a substrate having a regenerating light guide groove preliminarily formed thereto. In this constitution, the thermoplastic resin contains a thermoplastic resin (a) consisting of a soft segment of which the carbon double bond is saturated by hydrogenation and a hard segment and a thermoplastic resin (b) consisting of a soft segment of which the carbon double bond is not hydrogenated and a hard segment and both thermoplastic resins (a), (b) are compatible. |
