PURPOSE: To obtain a catalyst capable of efficiently removing NOx with a very small amt. of hydrocarbon even under coexistence of SOx at a high concn. of oxygen by incorporating zeolite treated with oxoacid ions. CONSTITUTION: Zeolite treated with oxoacid ions is incorporated to obtain the objective waste gas purification catalyst. The pref. pH of an aq. soln. used is 5.0, the pref. temp. of the aq. soln. is 50 deg.C and the pref. treatment, time is 1-24hr. The oxoacid preferably contains at least one selected from among B, Mo, W and V as the central atom. The oxoacid may be a polyacid contg. condensed two to several molecules of a central metal. The zeolite catalyst is preferably acidic zeolite contg. In, Ga or Ti having high reaction selectivity. At least one select,ed from among Cu, Co, In, Ga, Ti and H<+> is preferably incorporated into the zeolite. |
