CATALYST FOR PURIFICATION OF EXHAUST GAS

PURPOSE: To suppress the discharge of ammonia while maintaining ternary activity comparable to the conventional activity. CONSTITUTION: This catalyst consists of a 1st porous carrier and a 2nd porous carrier with solid acid sites placed close to each other, a noble metal carried on at least the 1st carrier and at least nickel carried on the 2nd carrier. Ammonia formed on the 1st carrier is selectively adsorbed on the solid acid sites of the 2nd carrier and is decomposed into nitrogen and hydrogen by the nickel existing near the solid acid sites.
