摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To provide a driving force controller for a vehicle high in its practicability in such a way that setting of an engine or an automatic gear may be adjusted in the optimum and accurate manner by estimating a load condition in a travel position after several seconds. CONSTITUTION: A travel road estimating part 13 estimates the position of a vehicle after several seconds based on the present position of the vehicle specified on the road map of an electronic map 12. A driving force predicting part 15 corrects a present load condition obtained by a travel resistance measuring part 14 depending on the difference between a present height and a height after several seconds retrieved from the electronic map 12 and determine a required driving force after several seconds. A driving system control part 16 changes the setting of an engine or an automatic gear depending on the magnitude of the required driving force. Even when a road condition or the weight of loaded cargo or the like is unknown, the required driving force can be precisely obtained, so that the setting and change in future can be properly performed and fuel can be saved to the maximum extent while a required power or responsiveness is maintained.</p>
