PURPOSE: To provide a container having a lid fitting to a body wherein fitting, sealing and packaging may be done in one motion. CONSTITUTION: A container having a lid fitting to a body is constituted of a lid body 1 and container main body 2 made of a thin synthetic resin, and the lid body and container main body are connected with each other by a hinge 3. Then, on the lid body, a protuberance 12 which is fitted in the container main body under a closed condition of the container is provided. For such interfittable container, an effective width of the hinge on the container main body side is made wider than an effective width on the lid body side, and a shelf part 242 which comes into contact with the top of the protuberance on the lid body is spanned on the inside of the top of the peripheral wall of the container main body. Then, the height of the protuberance on the lid body is made slightly larger than a distance from the rim of the opening of the container main body to the shelf part. |
