PURPOSE: To produce a stainless steel excellent in crevice corrosion resistance, pitting corrosion resistance, weatherability or the like and suitable for a panel type water storage tank capable of assembling by bolt fastening. CONSTITUTION: This stainless steel sheet has a compsn. contg. <=0.02% C, 0.1 to 0.6% Si, <=0.4% Mn, <=0.04% P, <=0.003% S, 20 to 26% Cr, 0.8 to 2.5% Mo, <=0.02% N and 0.05 to 0.3% Ti and/or 0.1 to 0.6% Wb, and in which the relationships of C+N <=0.035% and Nb+Ti>=7×(C+N)+0.15 are valid. Moreover, 0.3 to 0.8% Cu and/or <=0.3% Al may be incorporated therein. Since the assembly of a water storage tank jointly using bolt fastening and welding is made possible, the assembling operation in the setting place is made easy.
