PURPOSE: To obtain a deodorizing fiber which has excellent deodorizing performance against malodor of a compound containing carbonyl group, acidic compounds, further basic compounds, and is easy to handle and excellent in safety, processability, washing durability and dyeability and to provide a production method thereof and to produce deodorizing fiber products therefrom. CONSTITUTION: Acrylic synthetic fibers obtained by wet spinning are coagulated and, before being dried, the fibers are treated with a water-soluble polyamine containing 1-2 equivalent amount, of amino groups per one monomer unit, having 7-2,400 polymerization degree so that the polyamine is included in the fibers in an amount of>=0.1 to <=10%owf to give acrylic synthetic fibers containing 0.01-2.5mol/kg acidic groups. The acrylic fibers in an amount of more than 5wt.% are combined with 0.1wt% of fibers containing >=0.2 to <=10 equivalents/kg anionic functional groups or containing transition metal salt linking to these anionic groups of >=0.1 to <=5 equivalents/kg to give the deodorizing fiber products. |
