<p>PURPOSE: To stably and efficiently perform detoxification treatment over a long period of time by bringing exhaust gas containing a harmful component into contact with a solid detoxifying agent detoxifying the harmful gas and a solid dehydrating agent removing moisture generated by the reaction of the solid detoxifying agent with the harmful component. CONSTITUTION: Exhaust gas containing a harmful component is brought into contact with a mixture of a solid detoxifying agent 12 and a solid dehydrating agent 13 and moisture generated by the detoxifying reaction of the harmful component due to the solid detoxifying agent 12 is removed by the solid dehydrating agent 13 to prevent moisture from closing a part of a packed bed. By this constitution, the whole of the packed solid detoxifying agent 12 can be allowed to contribute to detoxifying reaction and the treatment capacity of the solid detoxifying agent 12 can be sufficiently utilized and dynamic absorption quantity can be increased to a large extent and detoxification treatment can be stably and efficiently performed over a long period of time. Further, by removing moisture by the solid dehydrating agent 13, it can be prevented that a detection agent 14 is deteriorated by moisture.</p> |
