PURPOSE: To realize the airtight sealing without generating cracks by providing a power supply stopping means between the secondary winding of a transformer for joining and the electrode for joining in the parallel seam joining of an outer surrounding container with a lid member. CONSTITUTION: A power supply stopping means 7 to be connected between one end of the secondary winding 1S of a transformer 1 for joining and an electrode 2 of a pair of roller-shaped electrodes 2, 3 for joining is provided. This power supply stopping means 7 is an element or a circuit flowing the current controlled from the transformer 1 for joining only in one direction, or an element or a circuit flowing the current for one period of time and cut off the current for another period of time of appropriate length. A part of the heat of an outer surrounding container and a lid 5 is radiated to suppress the temperature rise by providing the period to stop the power supply where no current flows in joining the seam, and the mechanical stress due to the difference in the coefficient of expansion of these members can be suppressed small. |
