The joint for fixing a sanitary element has a water-tight throat (2) in which takes its place on a wall surface (3). On the surface (3) is formed an upper water-tight lip (4) which is parallel to a wall fixing lip (1). The assembly is held fixed by a lower water-tight lip (5) resting on the edge of the sanitary element (9). The water-tight lip (5) is perpendicular to the wall fixing lip (1) and the upper water-tight lip (4).
