An outer ring (3) is attached to the casing of the watch (1) by means of a hinged joint (6) attached near to the point of attachment of the strap. The ring has two opposed faces (7,8) each of which can be made visible by turning the ring about the hinge and folding it down on to the casing in the corresponding direction. One of the two ring faces may provide a decorative finish, whilst the other may provide an indication of the time zones around the world. The hinge for the ring is mounted at the 12 o'clock position around the watch face, whilst the fastening is mounted at the 6 o'clock position. |
