<p>A dual containment fitting (74) comprising an intermediate body (76) having a bore (78), a nose portion (82) and a threaded portion (96). A fitting (86) has a bore (126), a nose portion that is inserted into a flared end portion of an inner tube (84), and a threaded portion (128). The nose portion (122) of the fitting (86) is inserted within the intermediate body (76), compressively engaging the flared end (106) to form a first attachment fitting. The nose portion (82) of the intermediate body (76) is inserted into a flared end portion (134) of an outer tube (88) disposed concentrically around the inner tube (84). An annular nut (90) is disposed around the outer tube (88) at the flared end. The nut bore has a threaded portion (152) and a non-threaded portion (150) and an annular shoulder (146). The flared end portion of the outer tube (88) is compressively engaged between the nose portion of the intermediate body (76) and the annular shoulder (146) of the nut bore to form a second attachment fitting.</p> |
