Tubular belt conveyor with endless belt which has sliding edge zones

The conveyor has an endless elastomer tubular conveyor belt. The belt is open in the receiving and issuing zones, and closed in the conveying zone by supporting rolls with overlapping edge zones. The facing surfaces of the edge zones have a sliding material on them. To maintain the desired closing ratio, the longitudinal edges (4) of the overlapped edge zone (3) is rounded. The two overlapping edge zones are covered with a sliding woven material (6), at least on the sides in contact with each other. A coating of sliding rubber mixture can also be selected as the main rubber mixture for the belt.
