A linear or rotary drive has an internal gear (1) and an external gear (2) arranged within the internal gear (1). The external gear (2) co-operates with the internal gear (1) and has less teeth than the internal gear (1). Elements exercise a substantially radial force on one of both gears (1; 2) that is mounted so as to move radially in relation to the other gear (2, 1), so that the axial centre of one gear (1, 2) can move around the axial centre of the other gear (2, 1). One gear thus rolls on the other gear which when the other gear is a helical gear is rotated or moved in the longitudinal direction depending on the type of bearing. The invention has applications in actuating drives. |
