<p>A caster (10) has a stationary hub (31) with a bearing between the hub (31) and a floor engaging wheel ring (30) which allows the wheel ring (30) to rotate relative to the hub (31). Torsional elastomeric elements (36, 38) mount the hub (31) between spaced support arms (16, 18) radially inward of the bearing and are positioned eccentrically relative to the axis of rotation (27) of the wheel ring (30) so as to suspend the hub (31) resiliently between the arms (16, 18). In an alternate embodiment, the hub (31) is cantilevered from a single support arm (16).</p> |
