The invention concerns a bag made from thermoplastic synthetic material and a process for manufacturing such a bag, whereby a draw strip (3) and a grip hole (8) are provided and the front wall (1) and rear wall (2) of the bag are each made from an outer and an inner film layer (1', 2') to ensure a relatively high degree of carrying strength. In addition, the draw strip (3) is arranged between these film layers and joined to the bag by lateral weld seams (5).
