The cutting angle measurement appts. includes a measuring head (9) with a measuring sensor (10) which is arranged at the end of the measurement carriage (8), facing the cutting tool (5). The measuring head and the mounting (4) for the tool can be positioned relatively to each other and secured, via guide rails (e.g. 2,6). The measurement head for measuring the cutting angle of the tool is adjustable in different directions, according to the measurement of the free endface and the free flank angle. The measurement carriage carrier (7) is guided along an axis (QS), vertical to the tool longitudinal axis, and swivelable in a plane-parallel to the endface plane.
