发明名称 Exhaust turbine with centrifugal compressor for IC engines
摘要 IC engines generate power if the work stroke energy is greater than the exhaust stroke energy required to keep the engine running. The device consists of an exhaust suction turbine section (1) and a centrifugal compressor section (2). Alternative compressor designs are possible including multi stage axial compressors. The turbine is driven by the exhaust gas flow passing through it. The compressor is mechanically connected to the turbine and demands more gas volume than the turbine receives from the engine, when both the turbine and compressor or running at the same speed. This static difference causes a low pressure behind the turbine, which causes the static pressure ahead of the turbine to translate into gas flow kinetic energy, accelerating the flow through the turbine and thus increasing the work output. The static pressure, otherwise unused, is thus reduced as the dynamic pressure is increased.
