Lining of heat insulating plates for tiled roof

The rectangular plates (1) overlap in the direction of the roof slope. Each has a suspension edge at the to for the tiles, and is laid on slats (9,10). It has wedge-shaped sections (3,5) at the sides towards the ridge and eave, both becoming thicker towards the middle of the plate. The second towards the ridge has a step (12) on the underside by which it is supported on a slat (10), and that towards the eave has a top step (14) forming a suspension edge. Stepped grooves (17) in the plate side edges run between the edges towards the ridge and eave, and are at an acute angle to the plane of the slats. An additional stepped groove (20,24) has its top surface (21) at a different height to that (18) of the main groove. It forms a step joining onto the latter surface, and is offset sideways from the side surface (19) of the main grove.
