The invention relates to a process for producing high-octane petrol by the catalytic reforming of hydrocarbons by taking said hydrocarbons through a platinum-rhenium catalyst in the shape of a hollow cylinder at 450-500 DEG C and a pressure of 1.5 - 3 MPa in a direction perpendicular to the cylinder axis, in which the inserted mixture passes from the axis to the periphery of the cylinder. The invention also relates to a reactor for implementing said process, especially in accordance with fig. 1.
