Removal of aminobiphenyl (ABP) from diphenylamine (DPA) is effected by: (a) treating the crude DPA with 1-10,000 moles of O2 or an O2-releasing cpd. per mole of ABP at 50-310 deg C; and (b) separating the DPA from the resulting mixt.
