Push=through fastening process for metal sheets

The process connects at least a first and a second metal sheet, by means of common distortions produced by a die and a punch. The sheets are aligned with one on top of the other, and the die and punch are mounted on rollers on opposite sides of the sheets. The rollers may be mounted on a tool which is guided along the sheets during the process. To attach the sheets the rollers move apart and subsequently back together again in a controlled manner.
