Sprocket wheel for round link chains of hoist

The sprocket wheel has a first pulley with outer circumferential projections. The free ends of these have contact faces (7) for chain links (13), and the chain pockets (8) are formed between them. All pockets are defined by an arc which is tangential to the rotary axis (18) of the sprocket wheel. A second similar coaxial pulley is rigidly fastened to the first one, and turnable relative to it, so that a projection of one pulley is aligned with the pocket centre of the other pulley, but does not project into it. The differential between the radial distances of contact faces and arc to the rotary axis, is dimensioned, so that the angle (alpha) enclosed by the axis and a plane (21) defined by a chain link engaging on the sprocket wheel, can be determined using a table.
