Hot and cold energy generator

A procedure for generating hot or cold energy has a working medium evaporated 1, then compressed 2, then liquefied 3 and finally returned to the evaporator. Part of the compressed vapour is returned to the evaporator where it releases heat energy to give increased evaporation. The remaining compressed component goes to a pressure converter where a part is compressed to reach a higher temperature and the rest is expanded and condensed in a second liquefier 6. The compression ratio for the source vapour in the compressor is preferably between 1:1.05 and 1:2, and even more preferably between 1:1.1 and 1:1.5. The compression of the working medium is limited so that in this part process there is a figure of merit of at least 10.
