Pivotable component for vehicle rear

The rear part comprises a profiled shank (6) of an elastomer hollow profile (5) that acts as a handle strip. When in a rest position the profile lies with the handle surface (11) tight against a contact surface (10) in the handle trough (3). The shank is pivotable into the handling position by a pneumatic pressure device (14,15) such that the handle surface is accessible by hand. A knee-joint action in and out movement of a wall section of the hollow space (7) causes the shank to pivot.
