PROTECTIVE AND LINKING GROUPS AND THEIR USE (CARBAMIDES)

The invention concerns a carbamide of the general formula R1-CO-NH-C(R2)(R3)-X-Y, said carbamide being protected by a temporary protective group. In said formula R1-CO- means a carbonyl group which can be provided as a peptide chain unit and can comprise one or more amino acid groups; R2 and R3 mean residues of the carbamide protective group which do not participate in its function, wherein R2 and R3 can be identical or different, but are different if one of the two groups means a hydrogen atom; X means an oxygen atom or a sulphur atom and Y means a protective group for X. The invention further concerns a process for preparing the protected carbamide and the use of the latter. The carbamide protected in accordance with the invention can also be in a form associated with a carrier material.
